The joint agency of EAS and KredEx will open a call for applications on 28.12.2023 to support knowledge-intensive activities of Ida-Viru entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs investing in Ida-Viru. Up to two million euros can be applied for both applied research and product development activities.
The support is part of the Fair Transition Fund, which aims to create higher added value jobs as an alternative to the oil shale industry. The total amount of the grant is €5.447 million and the grant rate ranges from 25% to 70%, depending on the size of the company and its level of technological readiness. The support is intended for projects that will be carried out or the results of which will be implemented in Ida-Viru County.
The projects are expected to result in an increase in the share of R&D expenditure and the number of R&D performing enterprises in Ida-Viru County. Entrepreneurs are welcome who develop entrepreneurship in Ida-Viru County and invest in the creation of internationally competitive new or significantly modified technologies, processes, products or services in Ida-Viru County.
Support will be provided for carrying out applied research and product development and for applying for primary protection of intellectual property related to these activities. Projects must be completed by the end of 2026. Projects will receive between EUR 100 000 and EUR 2 000 000 and the total volume of the round is EUR 5.447 million. Projects can be submitted until the budget is exhausted.
