Estonian institutions are once again invited to apply for support from the pan-European LIFE program for the implementation of environmental, nature conservation, and climate projects. This year, a total of 611 million euros is available for funding.
Non-governmental organizations, businesses, universities, and public authorities registered in the European Union are eligible to apply for support from the LIFE program. Individual entrepreneurs are not eligible to apply.
Support can be requested in the fields of nature and biodiversity conservation, circular economy and quality of life, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the transition to clean energy. The LIFE program does not support large-scale infrastructure construction or research, and it is not intended for rural and regional development. The level of project support ranges from 60% to 95%, depending on the area.
Deadlines for the 2023 application rounds:
- Nature conservation projects: April 18 – September 6, 2023
- Circular economy and quality of life projects: April 18 – September 6, 2023
