The European Union’s Just Transition Fund has clear objectives and offers unique business opportunities. Recently, our company “Indrex Juhtimisteenused OÜ” spoke at the info-hours organized by “Ida-Viru Ettevõtluskeskus” on January 24 in Kohtla-Järve and Narva. At these events, Efim Alyoshkin shared valuable information about the Just Transition Fund and how to get support for business development. For our part, we shared tips on how to prepare a successful grant application.
The financial opportunities offered by the Just Transition Fund are currently impressive, so it is important that people actively and entrepreneurially use these opportunities. There are already a number of projects in Ida-Viru County that have used the opportunities of the fund and received support for the development of their business. Our company “Indrex Juhtimisteenused OÜ” prepared the application and project management for one of such projects, which received the green light and approval for a grant to develop its business.
We took part in the info hour with a presentation on “How to prepare a successful grant application”. Our goal was to give practical advice to the entrepreneurs who participated in the info-hour on how to prepare an application in such a way as to get a positive approval during the review process.
In order to be eligible for a grant, it is necessary to submit a well-crafted project that takes into account the specifics and peculiarities of the field of activity. This requires the applicant to commit sufficient resources to preparing the project, such as time, expertise, and experience. As I see it, the situation in Ida-Viru County reflects the long stagnant state of the region. I have not visited the region for a long time, but when I returned, I noticed that not much has changed in general. Perhaps this is only a superficial impression, but it continues to be reinforced.
It seems that previously, when people were looking to achieve great things with their businesses and were entrepreneurial, they left the region in search of better opportunities to grow and scale their businesses and to pursue their ideas and ambitions. This is probably why they were looking for more favorable locations to implement their projects.
At the same time, we hope that support measures such as the Just Transition Fund will help the region’s entrepreneurial environment to recover and prosper significantly. At least, the entrepreneurs who attended the info-day certainly give us hope for this, as those present reflected new ideas, ambitions and a desire to turn their visions into reality.
The format of this info hour also gave us an idea of how to attract entrepreneurs from other regions, including Harju County, to use the funds of the Fair Transition Fund and their contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Ida-Viru County. Therefore, we are planning to organize an info hour on our part to tell about the possibilities of using the grants of the fund and expanding business in Ida-Viru County.
