The objective of the support is to increase the resource productivity of enterprises and contribute to a climate-neutral economy. Support is not provided for activities related to the use of fossil fuels, including the acquisition of equipment that uses fossil fuels.
What is Supported?
Support may be granted for projects that increase the resource and energy efficiency, as well as resource productivity of enterprises, through the adoption of innovative green technologies and solutions, in order to contribute to a climate-neutral economy and adaptation to climate change. The activity must be in accordance with the results of a resource audit and must lead to the saving of primary raw materials. Supported activities include the reorganization of the production process through the following actions:
- implementation of a resource-efficient solution;
- acquisition or replacement of equipment with innovative and more resource-efficient alternatives;
- acquisition of equipment for utilizing own production residues, which reduces the use of primary and increases the use of secondary raw materials in the production process.
Who Can Apply for Support?
Support can be applied for by a company whose main or secondary activity accounts for at least 20% of sales revenue and corresponds to the codes of the Estonian Classification of Economic Activities (EMTAK 2008): mining industry (section B, subsections 07–09) or manufacturing industry (section C, subsections 10–33). Companies operating in economic sectors related to fossil fuels or tobacco products are not eligible to apply for support.
What is the Amount of Support?
In the application round, the maximum amount of support per project is 1,000,000 euros and the minimum amount is 50,000 euros, but not more than the applicant’s three-year average sales revenue in eligible activities. The share of support is up to 47.93%, depending on state aid regulations.
How Long Can the Project Last?
Investments must be implemented within 24 months.
