KIK has opened a new application round to support companies in the construction of biomethane production units. The support is open and applications can be submitted in the e-support environment until August 23, 2024, at 17:00.<\/p>\n
The aim of the support is to promote the adoption of sustainable biogas and biomethane, and to accelerate the integration of renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n
Support is provided for the construction of biomethane production units or the conversion of existing biogas production units to be used for biomethane production.<\/p>\n
The support is provided from the European Union’s recovery fund NextGenerationEU. The support was developed by the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture in cooperation with KIK.<\/p>\n
The support can be applied for by companies whose main activity according to the business register corresponds to “Agriculture and Forestry” (Section A, subsections 011 to 016) in the Estonian Classification of Economic Activities (EMTAK).<\/p>\n
The amount of support per project is five million euros. The budget for the application round is 19,600,496 euros.<\/p>\n
